My fellow femmes in technology, there is an amazing free opportunity for mentoring and networking this Thursday, March 10th, 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Information and Communication Technologies Association of Manitoba, or ICTAM for short, is hosting NavigaIT, a women in technology mentoring event.
Not only will you hear about women’s issues from top female executives, but when you register, you can sign up to participate directly with them in two sessions. There is no cost to attend but registration in advance is required. I am sincerely looking forward to this event and I hope to see you there!
This month will just fly by I’m sure, with all the school concerts, family gatherings, and holidays. To top it off, there are some great tech events to be a part of in Winnipeg.
CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place where we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you are encouraged to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate.
Note: Dave Neilson, co-founder of CloudCamp, has asked if there is anyone with experience in cloud computing that would be willing to share in a five-minute lightning talk; visit the site for more details or send him a tweet: http://twitter.com/davenielsen
Join us in Winnipeg December 7 & 8 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. Like Tech·Ed, Tech·Days brings you an intensive learning experience where the depth of the technology training is matched only by the breadth of the topics covered—while sparing you the additional expenses or environmental concerns of air travel.
After the first day of Microsoft TechDays 2010, please join Imaginet at Shannon’s Irish Pub for a great night of food, drinks, and entertainment! Shannon’s Irish Pub is right across from the Convention Centre so it’s easy to get to. There are only 100 free tickets to be had that include food and your favorite beverage, so make sure you register early.
Are there any other upcoming Winnipeg Tech Events in the coming months you would like to share?
